Dark Pines is a multiplayer survival exploration game set on an isolated island filled with dark forests, treacherous marshes, towering mountains, and an active volcano. Players explore, survive, and build in a harsh environment while uncovering the mysteries of ancient crystal portals hidden in caves throughout the world.

These portals allow travel between different "dimensions" (player-hosted servers), creating an interconnected multiverse of player-run worlds. Each dimension has its own crystal frequency, and server owners can configure who can access their world, creating unique communities and gameplay experiences ranging from hardcore survival to casual building to intense PvP.

The game is designed with roleplay and content creation in mind, providing tools and systems that facilitate emergent storytelling and community-driven narratives.
